DSS Promises Training Support for Officers and Men of Man O' War Nigeria

The State Commander, Man O’ War Nigeria, Oyo State Command, Commander Yekeen Lukman mss in continuation of his visits to relevant government agencies, paid a visit to the Oyo State office of the Department of State Services (DSS) yesterday the 21st of July 2022.

After the introduction of the DSS management team and the entourage of the Man O’ War, Cmdr Lukman thanked the DSS for honoring the invitation to attend the inauguration of the new State Command executives of Man O’ War Nigeria in Oyo State back in the month of May of this year. He commended the efforts of the DSS in combating the various security challenges in Nigeria as a whole and Oyo state in particular.

He informed the DSS that Man O’ War Nigeria is ready to collaborate with the agency at any time when called upon while informing the DSS management team that Man O’ War has intelligence and information gathering officers in all Units at all communities and in all the 33 Local Governments of Oyo State.

The State Director of DSS, Mr Alex Agada msi in his response thanked the delegation of arriving even before the scheduled time which is a sign of the high level of discipline that Man O’ War is noted for. He also narrated his own experience of the knowledge of the organisation during his school days.

He implored the organisation not to rest its oars in carrying out various activities that can free the community of miscreants and bad behaviour.

The director promised to collaborate with the Man O’ War organisation, especially in the area of training of her members, whenever called upon. He advised the Area Commanders of Man O’ War in each Local Government Areas of the state to familiarize themselves with the local agents of the DSS for a more effective and efficient working relationships.

Highlights of the occasion was the decoration of the State Director with Man O’ War metal badge by the State Commander and presentation of a plaque to the State Commander by the director.

PAD UP: MAN O' WAR OYO STATE COMMAND (FEMALE UNIT) CELEBRATES MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2022 Menstrual Hygiene Day takes place on 28 May every year. It's a chance to highlight the importance of menstrual care, and raise awareness about the issues faced by those who don't have access to sanitary products. Voluntary organisations, Nonprofits government agencies, the private sector, the media, and individuals come together to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day and advocate for the importance of good menstrual hygiene management.
