  In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685 000 deaths globally. As of the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 5 years, making it the world’s most prevalent cancer. It is therefore the commitment of the Oyo State Command to contribute its quita towards the eradication of the disease.   This was the reason why a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar  was organised by the Gallant Female Unit (GFU) of the State Command  on the 27th of October 2023. Breast cancer is a disease in which abnormal breast cells grow out of control and form tumours. If left unchecked, the tumours can spread throughout the body and become fatal. The GFU led by their O/C, ASM Salako Azeezat has made it their responsibility to create awareness, by providing information on breast cancer among women, men and students to make them understand the importance of early detection and treatment. At about 1100hrs on Tuesday, 31st October 2023, officers of Man O' War responded to a tip of the sighting of group of students engaging in truancy in the vicinity of Olubadan Secondary School, Ibadan. Sequel to this, during a raid in the adjoining area of the school around 1135hours, a number of truants were apprehended in a nearby abandoned building which has been turned into a gambling den. Items recovered from the said entities included knives, catapult and gambling items.   The students and the recovered items were handed over to the school authorities. The State Command of Man O' War Nigeria will continue to assist the authorities in ensuring an end to truancy in all public schools in Oyo State.

N o organisation can develop without investing in the development of the mental capacity of its members.  This is the basis of the various programs organised by the present Man O' War leadership in Oyo State.  These programs have been aimed at refreshing and stimulating members intellectual development and include seminars, symposia and field training programs. A recent example of this continuous education program is the enrollment and subsequent graduation of several officers of the State Command as members and fellows of the Institute of Criminology and Strategic Studies (ICSS). At the graduation ceremony which was held on Wednesday, 25th October 2023 at Oyo State House of Chiefs, Agodi Secretariat.
