The general public have been called upon not to engage in physical attacks on the personnel and assets of the Nigerian police. This call was made today in a release by the Oyo State Commander of the Man O' War organisation, Alhaji Yekeen Lukman. In the release, he cautioned the general public, especially the youths, not to see the Nigeria Police as their enemy but rather as those constitutionally empowered to guarantee their safety. Instead of resorting to violence, he advised the general populace to seek peaceful means of resolving any issue they might have with the police. While condemning the recent violence at Moniya area of the state, he reminded the residents of the state that police personnel are people like us whose loved ones expect to come home after the days work. Fire Incident at Bodija Plank Market, Man O’ War Sympathises with Traders, Urges Fire Safety The Commander of Man O’ War in Oyo state, Alhaji Yekeen Lukman has sympathised with traders for their loss in a fire incident wich ravaged the popular Bodija plank market in Oyo state. The inferno, which occurred on Tuesday, 26th of April 2023, resulted in damages to the market and loss of goods worth millions of Naira. The State Commander appreciated the prompt response of emergency services in the state and the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde who has personally visited the market. Yekeen  Lukman Launches Tree Planting Campaign to Mark a Year in Office A tree planting exercise was conducted yesterday at Bakatari in Ido Local government of Oyo State, as part of the activities to mark a year in office of the Lukman-led state executives of Man O' War Nigeria in the State. Cmdr. Lukman planting a tree seedling   The event was held at the proposed training base of the state command at Bakatari. In his speech, Cmdr. Lukman reminded the participants of the importance of tree planting to the environment, especially in this era that the world is witnessing upreceedented climate change.
